VAT Refund for Tourists

For International Visitors

Buy a Camera with EC-MALL?
Claim Your VAT Refund

Foreign tourists can get up to 6.1% back on cameras, lenses and gear bought at EC-MALL when you fly home.

Who can claim?

  • You are not a Thai national and not departing as airline crew.
  • You leave Thailand by air within 60 days of purchase.
  • You spend at least 2,000 THB (VAT included) at EC-MALL per day.
  • Your total claim across all shops is at least 5,000 THB.
  • You carry the goods out of Thailand with you.

3 Easy Steps to Your Refund

The same simple process used across Thailand.

1

Shop at EC-MALL

Show your passport at checkout and ask our staff for the VAT Refund form (P.P.10) with your tax invoice.

2

Customs at the Airport

Before check-in, bring your camera, P.P.10 form and invoice to the Customs Inspection for VAT Refund counter to be checked and stamped. Required for items of 20,000 THB or more — which is most cameras, so keep them in your hand luggage.

3

Collect Your Refund

After immigration, hand the stamped form and invoices to the VAT Refund counter in the departure lounge. Refunds up to 30,000 THB can be paid in cash; larger amounts go to your card.

No need to visit the store. EC-MALL can deliver your camera together with the completed VAT refund documents (P.P.10) — just share your passport details. You simply claim your refund at the airport when you fly home.

How much do I get back?

Thailand charges 7% VAT. After the refund processing fee, tourists receive up to 6.1% of the purchase value — the maximum rate, applied to purchases of 200,000 THB or more. Use the official Revenue Department table below to estimate your refund.
